THE NEW KENNEDY MEADOWS RESORT & PACK STATION LODGE COMPLETES IT'S FIRST SEASON

The newly rebuilt Kennedy Meadows Lodge with restaurant and store is now open for business since July '08. The restaurant is on the right and the general store on the left. The former resort landmark, several cottages and support buildings burned to the ground October 1, 2007. Five replacement cottages and several support buildings were rebuilt also.

Calaveras Big Trees State Park (6,000 ac.) is a world-class park of giant redwoods off Hwy 4 near Arnold. From Twain Harte it takes approx. 1 hr via Parrot's Ferry Road via Columbia. By comparison
